Why are the emotional regulation tools you are using not working for you when triggered?

Chances are you are probably :

1. Trying to use the tools only when you are triggered. If you are waiting to be triggered to use the tools then it’s a little too late. Your behaviours are basically a set of neural pathways that work together. You are trying to behave different when triggered which means you need to create a new set of neural pathways that will turn on when triggered.

2. You are giving up on your tools too quickly. It takes 63 days for a new neural pathway to be formed. Which means your tools need to become part of your life style. Needs to be used daily. Practise makes permanent neural pathways in the brain.

3. You are finding the tools you are using like journaling and meditation is helping slightly but not completely. This is because you have not healed the inner child fully and you are suppressing the inner child and her needs.

True happiness is a state of mind that is achieved my inner work and cannot be achieved from external circumstances/ external. Same way external circumstances cannot take away your joy and happiness when you have mastered the art of happiness.

True happiness is what you experience when you live from a state of inner gratitude, inner peace and inner love. A state when you live knowing you are enough and knowing your purpose. A state of freedom and fulfillment.
